For more than 50 years, the Tamworth Baseball Association has proudly hosted its annual Senior Baseball Carnival over the June Long Weekend, making it a much-loved event on the baseball calendar.

What began decades ago has grown into a carnival that attracts men’s, women’s and mixed teams from across NSW, ACT, QLD and VIC, with many teams returning year after year.

​

The carnival is about much more than just baseball. It is a fantastic opportunity for players, coaches, officials and supporters to reconnect with old friends, renew rivalries and build new friendships with teams and players they may only see once a year. Many of the friendships formed through this carnival have continued for decades, creating a strong sense of community and tradition.

​

With games played across multiple grades and skill levels, the carnival provides something for everyone — from experienced players competing at a high level through to teams simply looking to enjoy a great weekend of baseball with friends. It is also a great opportunity for players to watch and learn from teams competing in other grades and experience the variety of baseball that a large multi-grade carnival has to offer.

The June Long Weekend is always a fantastic time in Tamworth, with a great atmosphere both on and off the diamond. We look forward to welcoming returning clubs and new teams each year and continuing the tradition that has made this carnival such a special part of Tamworth Baseball.

Registrations open: 1st October 2026

Registrations close: 1st April 2027

Team List due: No later than the 1st May 2027. Amendments can be made to this list after submitting as players or officials change.
